Est. in 2009 as Tobacco Road Outdoors, Apex Outfitter and Board Co. has evolved into an Action Sports Retailer. Apex Outfitter and Board Co. is owned and operated by local North Carolinians, Kyle and Megan Denis. “We wanted to fuse our passion for the outdoors with our love of action sports. Our shop is packed with high quality apparel and accessories from brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Mountain Hardwear, Columbia, Leatherman, Sanuk, Smart Wool and much more to outfit your adventurous side. If you need foot wear, camping gear, longboards, skate boards, stand up paddle boards (coming in the spring), jackets, backpacks, tents, sleeping bags or some last minute gifts, we've got you covered. Today, we continue to provide the Triangle with superior outdoor and lifestyle gear for our active community. We offer our customers high quality equipment and apparel to enhance their outdoor activities, while promoting long term relationships with customers by offering exceptional service. Our goal is to familiarize the community with the adventures awaiting them by being an accessible resource for information and products that will keep them having fun outdoors. We are committed to bringing consumers new choices, from the practical to the innovative, and strive to serve the community through events that encourage respect for the environment and improve our quality of life.
We have 3,000 square foot space filled with all the goodies you need to live an active outdoor lifestyle. The shop is located in the Tobacco Mule & Exchange Building in historic downtown Apex, NC. Constructed in 1917, the building was originally used as a tobacco storage warehouse upstairs and a mule stable downstairs. It's now used to make all your outdoor dreams come true!
